About the 2024 Kia K5
The stylish Kia K5 offers plenty of power, safety, and technological features for the price to provide a comfortable ride from beginning to end. The compact is fitted with a 4-cylinder turbocharged engine producing 180 horsepower and supported by an 8-speed auto transmission. New for 2024 includes standard heated front seats for the GT-Line trim.Â
Kia K5 Technology
Standard infotainment features HD Radio, four USB ports, a 6-speaker stereo, dual climate control, proximity keyless entry, voice recognition, and remote start. Available features include satellite radio, a 10.25-inch touchscreen, an additional USB port, navigation, charging for wireless devices, and a 12-speaker Bose audio system.Â
K5 Style and Design
The K5 offers a choice of four trims, starting with the base LXS. Mid-priced trims include the GT-Line and EX. The high-end trim is the GT model. All trims, except for the GT-Line, come standard with front-wheel drive. The GT-Line offers the option of all-wheel drive. Color examples include Passion Red, White Pearl, Gravity Gray, and Ebony Black.

In 2021, the Kia K5 was named Best Midsize Car in the Newsweek Autos Awards. The K5 also earned the "Top Rated" award from Edmunds. In 2022, the Newsweek Autos Awards also included the K5 as the Best Family Car. In 2023, the Kia K5 was named Best Car for Teens $25K to $30K by U.S. News & World Report.
